Our PCS grade 7 learners have been participating in the SAASTA Astro quiz since
2016. Learners who show a keen interest in our solar system are given an opportunity to take part. They work in groups of 4 and study quite a lot of information to participate in the tests.
After Covid-19, the SAASTA Astro quiz was completed online which allowed more learners to participate. Our PCS grade 7 learners have reached the semi-final rounds in 2017 and 2018, we are hoping to achieve this again this year.
SAASTA Astro quiz is a wonderful way for our learners to work in a team and developed skills which will assist them in High School.
Potchefstroom Central School offers opportunities for children to extend their vocal range and learn to sing in harmony together as a group. As members of our school choir, children are given many opportunities to perform throughout the year.
