Introduction to Central School

Potchefstroom Central School is an English Medium Primary School with ideals based on the Christian belief. We adhere to the traditions of the school, which have been upheld for many years, but in keeping with the spirit of change and advancement we acknowledge, and respect other religions and cultures. The motto of our school is “I Serve”, which incorporates the service of the school to the community, the Educators to the service of the holistic development of the learners, and the service of the learners, to show their respect for the school which will equip them with a sense of balance, a deep respect for others and a will to strive towards excellence.

We take great pride in our school and instil this into our learners. Educators have a high degree of professionalism and loyalty and pass this on to the learners by example.

From Our Principal's Desk

What a privilege it has been to be the Headmaster of this wonderful school for the past few years. Potchefstroom Central School's success lies in the committed core of this family for the past 86 years, who shares in the same vision and mission of our school.

Our staff are leaders who innovate with expertise, with flair and with passion. Our boarding facilities present a safe and secure environment. The academics are of a high standard, with well qualified and dedicated teachers.

Big Walk Winners 2013

Our Annual Big Walk was held on 30 April and was a huge success. Our learners had decided on themes and were dressed accordingly - either as a class or as grade. There was an air of excitement and anticipation. When the walk was over, the learners spent their money at the food stalls and their time on the various jumping castles. A good time was had by all! The day ended with the announcement of the prize winners :......
